Graveside Service for Alfred Erwin Thomas, 69, of Fairview, Oklahoma, will be at 3;30 p.m., Saturday, April 23, 2022 at the Fairview Cemetery followed by Memorial Service in the 1 st Assembly of God Church in Fairview. Reverend Charlie Newman officiating. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.
Alfred Erwin Thomas, Sr. (November 30 th , 1952 – April 20 th , 2022) was born to Herbert Leonard Thomas and Virginia Mae Bekker-Thomas in Wichita, Kansas. Alfred is preceded in death by his Parents, Brothers: William Francis Thomas and T Bowering Thomas, and his granddaughter, Janet Joyce Thomas. Alfred was raised in Hayworth, California. He then moved to Joplin, Missouri, where he and his first wife, raised Christopher Jason Allen Thomas and Stephanie Rebecca Elaine Thomas-Fortune. Alfred, later moved to Beaver, Wisconsin, where he and his second wife had their son Alfred Erwin Thomas, Jr. In 1990 Alfred moved to Fairview, Oklahoma and had a daughter, Katlyn Arlene Thomas-Koehn in 1992. In 1997 Alfred met his current wife, Denise Kay Andrews-Thomas, and were married on April 3 rd , 1999. Alfred and Denise had their son, Andrew Lile Thomas in 2000.
Alfred described himself as a "Jack of all Trades, and Master of Many". After Alfred graduated from Hayworth High School, he became a brake technician, transitioned to Engineering, then custom field cutting, where he sparked his love for welding. He worked in the Oil Field, and later started his own Trucking business. Alfred wore many hats during his life, but his life's work was leading others to the Lord by delivering his Testimony.
Alfred had many hobbies, most served to satisfy his adventurous nature; Flying, Racing cars and hounds, and Fishing just to name a few. Alfred loved the Lord with all his heart, mind, and soul; flying planes got him and anyone who would fly with him that much closer to Heaven. He began learning Hebrew to converse with his Lord in his native tongue. "And the Peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:7).
Alfred is survived by his wife, Denise of the Home, and his children Christopher Jason Allen Thomas, Clayton and Stephanie Rebecca Elaine Fortune, Alfred Erwin, Jr. Thomas (AJ) and Terrie Elizabeth Anderson, Chuck and Katlyn Arlene Koehn, and Rebecca and Andrew Lile Thomas. His grandchildren: Jamie Nicole Thomas, Samantha Dawné Thomas, Kenneth Austen Thomas, Alissa Ann Nickel, Kayla Nichole Fortune, Wade Alexander Fortune, Elizabeth Rose Thomas, Mathew Allen Thomas, Janet Joyce Thomas (now passed) and Mark Steven Thomas. And his great-grandchildren: Willow Shirley-Ann Canada and Maverik Jude Fortune.
Memorial contributions may go to the 1 st Assembly of God Church, with the Fairview Funeral Home, Inc acting as custodians of the funds.
