Funeral service for Alvina S. Koehn, 86, will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 2, 2011, at the Fairview Church of God in Christ Mennonite. Burial will follow in the Cedar Cemetery. The Reverends Randy Levings and Leonard Koehn will officiate. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Alvina was born on January 22, 1925, to Jacob and Mina (Schmidt) Smith in Montezuma, Kansas, and died June 28, 2011, at the Fairview Fellowship Home.

Alvina married Lawrence Koehn in 1947 at Newton, Kansas. She was a homemaker and loving wife, of 64 years, mother and grandmother. Alvina was a member of the Fairview Church of God in Christ Mennonite.

She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Koehn; sons, Gary Koehn and wife, Robin, of Caldwell, Kansas, Larry Koehn and wife, Jane of Lahoma, Oklahoma; one brother, Martin Smith and wife, Star, of Phoenix, Arizona; two sisters, Minnie Koehn of Mound Ridge, Kansas, and Florence Willis of Inman, Kansas; 15 grandchildren; and 26 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; two sons, Ronald Koehn and Clifford Koehn; one daughter, Barbara Toney; and one great-grandson.
