Funeral Services for Anthonny Alexander Pembrook, 17, will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 2, 2010 in the new Canton School Gym in Canton, Oklahoma. The Rev. Kirk Sutton will officiate. Burial will follow in the Longdale Cemetery. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Viewing will be Thursday, December 31, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Fairview Funeral Home, Inc., and Saturday, January 2 at the Canton School Gym before and after the service.

Anthonny Alexander Pembrook was born November 18, 1992 in Quito, Ecuador South America to Jerry Walter Pembrook and Lucia Alexandra (Guerra Cevallos) and died Wednesday, December 30, 2009 in an automobile accident.

Anthonny spent his early childhood in Ecuador and then Venezuela South America with many trips to the United States to visit family. In 2002 he moved, with his family, to Longdale, Oklahoma. Anthonny joined the fourth grade class at Canton Elementary School. During this time, he enjoyed playing soccer and baseball, and liked to hunt and fish. In fifth grade, Anthonny began playing football and found his true love for the game. Over the next few years, he honed his skills as a Receiver and Defensive Back. In 2008, Canton started playing Rugby and Anthonny truly enjoyed the game. In 2009, he helped to lead the Canton Tigers to an outstanding season, losing only one game during the regular season and the team was ranked second in the state in their class. Anthonny was a competitor and thrived at playing competitive sports. He was active in the Boy Scouts for several years. He was fearless, which helped him develop his survival skills. He had a lot of knowledge about and loved all kinds of animals. Anthonny worked at the city pool as a lifeguard and liked watching dirt bike racing and skate boarding. Just like many other young men, Anthonny was an avid video game fan and could play them for hours. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Longdale.

Everyone was drawn to Anthonny's super personality. He always tried to do his best. He didn't want to make a mistake, or let anyone down. Anthonny loved, and was very protective of his sister. All that knew him, loved him and mere words cannot describe how much he will be missed by his family and many friends.

He is survived by his parents, Jerry W. and Lucia Pembrook; maternal grandmother, Esmeralda Cevallos de Guerra; two sisters, Tonya Pembrook of Shawnee, Oklahoma and Christina Pembrook of Longdale; one niece, Tarashay Ellis of Shawnee; maternal aunts, uncles, and cousins, Andresito, Taty, Yosalin, Armando, Juan Andres, Sarueth, Sahir, Maria, Xaviercity, Jaqueline Yanez, Armando Guerra, Martha Guerra, Janeth Yanez, Xavier Guerra, all of Quito, Ecuador; paternal aunts and uncles, Jimmie & Karlene Pembrook, Billy & Janice Pembrook, Marquetta "Kitty" Pembrook, Veta & James Thomas, Connie & Paul Hinchey, and Brenda Pembrook, all of Oklahoma.

Anthonny was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; maternal grandfather; and one Uncle Danny Pembrook

Memorials may be made to the Canton Football Team with Fairview Funeral Home, Inc. serving as custodians of the funds.
