Graveside services for Araceli D. Berganos Custer, 57, of Fairview, will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, April 24, 2020 in the Bethel Cemetery. Due to the current restrictions, only the immediate family will be present. Additional family and friends may park on South fence of the cemetery and show the family support. A memorial service will be held after this crisis is over. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home Inc.
Araceli Domingo Barganos was born October 7, 1962 in Roseles, province of Pangasinan, Philippines, to Domingo Lucero and Consolasion Antolin (Domingo) Berganos and was called home by her heavenly father on April 20, 2020 at her home in Fairview Oklahoma after a long battle with cancer.
Araceli grew up in Roseles, and her parents were farmers. Her and her three brothers and four sisters worked in the fields to help her parents. Araceli graduated from Rosales National High School and continued her education, receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Luzon Colleges in Dagupan City, Philippines. After collage she moved to Sioux Lookout, Ontario, Canada. She started a Child Care place, worked as a produce attendant at a Super Market and as a Bank Teller. Araceli met Darrell Lynn Custer while living in Ontario, and they started a long-distance courtship for many years, Araceli married Darrell on September 4, 1999 at Elm Grove Community Church and made their home in Fairview. In March of 2000 they moved to Grove Oklahoma for a short time and returned to Fairview because of Darrell's mother's failing health. In March of 2001 they were blessed with their son Reed. Araceli work at the hog farms west of Fairview for several years until Darrell's health began to fail and she took a leave of absence. Darrell passed away on January 18, 2020 and Araceli was already diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and was fighting for her own live.
Araceli and Darrell both had a love for the outdoors. She loved to travel, go fishing, gardening and spending time with her son Reed. They had a fruit orchard at their house and she loved to can the fresh fruit as well as cooking. Araceli was a sweet little lady who was loved by all who know her and will be truly missed.
Araceli is survived by her son Reed Domingo Custer and his girlfriend Taylor Dobbs of Fairview, her sisters; Angelina Vino, Rosenia Calpo, Clarita Acdal, Marcelo Berganos, and her brother Fernando Berganos all who still live in the Philippines, sister-in-law Pam Warner of Seiling, Oklahoma, two brothers-in-laws, Michael Custer and wife Theresa of Burden, Kansas, Ronald Custer and his wife Darla of Grove, Oklahoma, and many nieces and nephews and cousins to numerous to name.
Her parents, husband Darrell, two brothers Florito and Hilario and sister Flordeliza preceded her in death.
Memorial contributions may be made. to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation Cancer Division with Fairview Funeral Home, Inc acting as custodian.
