Obituary

Funeral Services for Bruce Wayne Brinson, age 52, will be held at 2:30 pm, August 15, 2014 in the Cleo Springs First Christian Church, Reverend Sam Justice officiating. Burial will follow in the Square Cedar Cemetery under the direction of the Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Bruce was born September 23, 1961 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Kenneth and Glenda (Hunt) Brinson and passed away August 10, 2014 in Enid, Oklahoma.

Bruce began living in Cleo Springs at 9 months old and spent the remainder of his life there. Bruce graduated from Aline-Cleo High School in 1979 with Salutatorian honors. While in High School Bruce was actively involved in FFA and also gained the honor of State Farmer. He attended Oklahoma State University in Fall 1979 and left in spring of 1980 to work for Kenneth Brinson Dozer Service. From 1985 till present, Bruce opened and managed Eagle Sand and Gravel Company in Cleo Springs.

On April 28, 1982 Bruce married Lynette Mancuso. From this union, two children were born, Brittany and Rusty Brinson. Bruce and Lynette were divorced in 1987. Bruce married Kimberly Ochab in June 1, 1997. With this marriage Bruce gained two more children, Bryan and Sheena Ochab. Bruce helped raise many more children and teenagers along the way.

Bruce's pride and joy were his grandkids: Jordan, Ethan, Izaak, James, Bruce, Brayson, Brilyn and Karyzma.

Bruce is survived by his father, Kenneth Brinson, mother Glenda Moser and step-dad James; wife Kimberly Brinson, four children; Brittany (Brinson) Decha, Rusty Brinson, Sheena (Ochab) Holmes, and Bryan Ochab, one brother Bret Brinson; two sisters; Darla Brinson, and Dianna (Brinson) Fisher, eight grandchildren as well as many nieces, one nephew, and many uncles, aunts, and god children.

Bruce was preceded in death by his grandparents and great grandaprents.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bruce Brinson Memorial Fund to help pay for hospital expenses with Fairview Funeral Home acting as custodian.
