Memorial Services for Carl Boyd Simons, 84, of Enid, formerly of Ringwood, will be 2:00 pm, Friday, February 16, 2024 at the Fairview Funeral Home Chapel, Fairview, Oklahoma.  Reverend Gary Miller will officiate.  Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Carl Boyd Simons was born December 16, 1939 in Ringwood, Oklahoma to Everett and Thelma Iris (Beckner) Simons and passed from this life to the next on February 9, 2024 in Enid, Oklahoma.

Carl grew up in the Ringwood area and attended the Ringwood Public school and graduated from Ringwood High School in the late 50's.  After graduation, as many did in those days, he went to work in the oil and gas industry.  On January 3,1961, he married Mary Lee Smith in Fairview, Oklahoma and they settled in Ringwood.  Carl and Mary were blessed with three children, Carlene, Roger and Jo Ann.  Carl worked as a truck drive in the oil and gas industry until he retired.  Carl and Mary were married 49 years, until she passed away January 1, 2010 after a long battle with cancer.  Carl was loved by his family and will be truly missed.

Carl is survived by his two daughters, Carlene Cunningham of Cherokee, Oklahoma, and Jo Ann Hamen of Ringwood, Oklahoma, his brother Kenneth Simons, and sister Ruth Nightengale, daughter-in-law Peggy Simons and niece Katelin, six grandchildren, and three great grandchildren with two more on the way.

He was preceded in death by his wife Mary, parents, son Roger Simons, one sister, two brothers and two sons-in-laws.

Memorial contributions may be made to OMRF Cancer Research or Hospice Circle of Love, with Fairview Funeral Home Inc acting as custodian of the funds.
