Graveside Services for Cecil Dean Kahn, 88, will be 1:30 p.m., Thursday, November 2, 2023 at the Fairview Cemetery.  Reverend Travis Schmidt will officiate.  Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Cecil Dean Kahn was born in Fairview, Oklahoma on June 1, 1935 to George Henry and Mayme (Nightengale) Kahn and went to his heavenly home on October 26, 2023, in Enid, Oklahoma.

He attended school in Fairview and graduated from Fairview High School in 1953.  After high school, he went to work for Boeing in Wichita, Kansas.  He moved back to Fairview and went to work for Frisco Train Lines.  After returning to Fairview, he married Eileen Mary Hall in Seiling Oklahoma on November the 8th, 1958.  Not long after the couple was married, they were blessed with their first son, Darrel.  On March 1961 Cecil started to work for the United States Postal Service and worked at the Fairview Post Office.  Until he retired on June the 2nd, 2000.  He was again blessed with the birth of his second son Kyle in 1963.

Cecil had many interests in life, Trains was one of them.  He loved chasing trains with Hunter from Mooreland to Woodward, and watching train videos with his great grandson Ragnar.  Gardening and singing in the garden was another of his many interests.  He loved to plant potatoes in the spring with Hunter and went to all of his grandson's football games.  He also watched birds and loved his Purple Martins, Finches, and Orioles.  He spent many Sundays with all of the family and he will be truly missed by all.

Cecil is survived by his wife, Eileen, two sons, Darrel and Kyle, grandchildren, Hunter, Kylie and Brandon, great grandson Ragnar.

He was preceded in death by his parents George and Mayme and five siblings.

Memorials may be made to the MAGB with the funeral home acting as custodians.
