Dale Dewayne Grove passed away peacefully on October 24, 2018 at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, OK surrounded by his family.

Dale was born January 25, 1954 to Wilford (Snookie) Dewayne Grove and Bessie Loretta Marie (Smith) Grove at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City, OK. He was a 1972 graduate of Watonga High School, where he played football and was part of the 1971 State Championship team. Growing up as a Watonga Eagle helped in Dale's interest and love for collecting anything Eagle related as he got older.

On June 2, 1978 in Canton, Oklahoma, Dale married Dawn Kay Reese and the couple made their home in Greenfield, OK. The couple was then blessed with two children, Branden Kyle and Traci Lynn. Dale was a jack of all trades when it came to his employment but mostly enjoyed his time driving a semi and being a mechanic. He was a loving husband, father, grandpa, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Dale truly lived his life to the fullest through simple pleasures like chatting with family and friends, spending time with his children and grandchildren, watching football and NASCAR, and always lending a helping hand to those around him. He never met a stranger and was a joy to be around, always giving people a hard time with a smile on his face. Some of the most beloved memories of Dale were of him going with his son and daughter to livestock shows. Because of his constant presence, help, and support to the Geary FFA, earned him the honor of being a recipient for the Honorary Chapter member award.

He is survived by his wife Dawn Kay Grove, of 40 years, of the home; son Branden Kyle Grove, fiancée Alexis Murray, grandchildren Peyton Grove, Kyla Grove, Hagen Grove, and Harper Murray all of Hydro, OK; daughter Traci Lynn (Grove) Robison and granddaughter Bristol Paige Robison of Fairview, OK; his mother Loretta Grove of Watonga, OK; one brother Roger Grove also of Watonga, OK; and his mother-in-law Peggy (Reese) Hunt of Longdale, OK.

He is preceded in death by his father Snookie Grove, two brothers, Mike Grove and Shannon Grove, grandson Reese Dawson, father-in-law Sonny Reese, and son-in-law Micah Robison.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made to the Greenfield Fire Department or any charity of choice, with the funeral home acting as the custodian of the funds.
