Memorial service for Delmer Lester Bowman, 79, of Aline, Oklahoma will be held Thursday, May 28, 2015 at 11am in the Cleo Spring Nazarene Church in Cleo Springs Oklahoma. Reverends Jim Burggraf, Ricky Chance, and Steve Olson will officiate. Cremation services were arranged by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Delmer Bowman was born April 20, 1936 on the family farm just north of Cleo Springs, Oklahoma to Lester Franklin and Ardeen (Nickel) Bowman and passed away May 23, 2015 at his home in Aline, Oklahoma.  He grew up in the Cleo Springs area and graduated from High School there.

May 15, 1956 Delmer married Barbara Elaine Rich in Enid Oklahoma. Two sons, Rick Ray and Rex Lester, and one daughter, Ronda Kay was born to this blessed union. Delmer worked for Boeing Aircraft in Wichita, Kansas for three years but most of his life he was a carpenter. The family lived 27 years in Minnesota and 5 years in Tulsa before returning in 1993 to Aline where he lived until he went to be with his heavenly Father.

The greatest thing that happened in his life was in May 1968 in the basement of his house when he asked the Lord to forgive him of his sins and come into his life. On that day the presence of the Lord came unto him and he dedicated his life to serve Jesus. Delmer served the Lord the rest of his life.

He loved to watch Junior High and High School Basketball and was a dedicated member of the Cleo Springs Nazarene Church.

Delmer is survived by Barbara his wife of 59 years, two sons Rick Ray (Pat) Bowman and Rex Lester (Karen) Bowman and one daughter Ronda Kay (Steve) Olson, seven grandchildren, Aubrey, Luke, Zachary, Brittany, Kyle, Eric, and Cassie, and four great grandchildren, also one brother Curtis (Betty) Bowman, and many nieces and nephew.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cleo Springs Nazarene Church, Jesus film Ministry, and TLC with Fairview Funeral Home, Inc, 221 N. Main, Fairview, OK 73737, acting as custodian.
