Obituary

Celebration of Life for Dennis Wayne Boyer, 58, of Fairview will be 10:00 am, Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Fairview First United Methodist Church. The Reverend Rich Redinger will officiate. Burial will be Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at 2:00 pm in Fairview Cemetery, Fairview, Oklahoma. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Dennis Wayne Boyer, age 58, went to be with Jesus on April 2, 2017, at home in Fairview, OK. Dennis was born on May 24, 1958, in Blackwell, OK to parents Jan McIntyre Boyer and Larry Boyer. He graduated from Fairview High School in 1976 and attended college at SWOSU in Weatherford.

Dennis married the love of his life, Cheri, in 1980 and would have celebrated 37 years of marriage on April 12 th . He met the second love of his life on April 14, 1985 when his daughter Whitney was born. Above all; however, he loved his Heavenly Father and attempted every day to epitomize what it meant to be a child of God.

Dennis was employed as an oilfield pumper but loved his job so much that he rarely saw it as work. He was a strong asset to his community, volunteering several years of his life to coaching youth summer league softball and mentoring people of all ages during a Sunday night basketball league.

Dennis is survived by his wife Cheri Boyer, his daughter Whitney Mendez Boyer and son-in-law Nick Mendez Brancecum, his brother Alan Boyer, his brother Don Boyer and wife Terri, his step brother Jeff Reeder, his mother Jan McIntyre Boyer, his father Larry Boyer and wife Stephanie, mother-in- law Darla Olson, Nancy Morris, the Max Carlisle family, and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his sister-in-law Gretchen Boyer, his father-in-law Don Olson, his grandmother Martha Van Hoy and grandfather Earl Boyer, and his grandmother Gladys McIntyre and grandfather Bonny Mclntyre.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Arubah Free Clinic or the Methodist Youth Program with Fairview Funeral Home acting as custodians.
