Memorial Services for Dennis Kent Ewbank, age 50, will be held at 10:30 am, Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at the Mennonite Brethren Church of Fairview. The Reverend Brad Penner will officiate. He was cremated. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.
Dennis Kent Ewbank was born July 30,1957, in Fairview, Ok, to (Gerald) Wade and Darlene (Campbell) Ewbank and passed away March 13th, 2008.
He attended Fairview Public Schools where he was active in Vo-Ag., Band, and enjoyed playing the guitar and saxophone in Stage Band. He was a member of 4-H and Future Farmers of America, showing sheep and cattle. He was a talented horseman and PRCA Team Roper for many years, and enjoyed traveling with friends to rodeos throughout the region. He was a member of the Fairview Wranglers for many years, where he served as President and Vice-President. Dennis worked for many years in the family business, Ewbank Water Well Drilling, and was currently employed as a Conductor for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway, Springfield Division, Enid, Ok, and a member of United Transportation Union.
Dennis married LeAnne (Shaffer) April 19th, 1991 in Fairview. His pride and joy, Chloe Paige, was born September 10th, 1992. He enjoyed spending time with his family, farming on the family farm, working with his horses, and remodeling projects around the home.
He is survived by his wife, LeAnne, and daughter Chloe, of the home, son Chase Andrew Reames of Miami, Texas, father Wade and wife Jean of Fairview, brother Danny and wife Barbara of Fairview, sister Shannon and husband Daryl Kuhnemund of Lahoma, Ok, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, and mother Darlene Ewbank.
