Obituary

Funeral Services for Dennis Leon Frech, 68, of McWillie, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 12, 2010, at the Cedar Springs Church of the Nazarene, 7 miles west of Fairview on Highway 60. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Fairview, Oklahoma. The Reverends Herb Berkley and Lynn Coulter will officiate. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.
Viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, with the family present from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Dennis Leon Frech was born on January 19, 1942 to Otto and Margaret (Ryel) Frech at Alva, Oklahoma and passed away, Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at his home in McWillie.

Dennis grew up in the McWillie, Aline and Helena area. He started school at McWillie, then attended and graduated from Helena High School. He attended NWOSU and graduated with a major in Industrial Arts and a minor in Horticulture. Dennis married Janis Parker on June 1, 1966. Following college he worked at Kline Implement, and then at Kline-Dettle Implement when the two merged. Dennis was the Auto Mechanic Instructor at Helena Boys School and was the Horticulture Teacher at the James Crabtree Correctional Center. He was also employed at Atwood's in Enid. He served as the Alfalfa County Safety Director for several years. He retired in 2008 due to health problems.

Dennis's hobbies include his grandkids, fishing, and raising fish, hunting, deer processing, raising quail and releasing them. He was a long time member of Helena Lion's Club. Dennis was a member and Deacon of the Pleasant Plains Church of the Brethren.

Dennis is survived by his wife Janis, of the home; children, David and Ronda Frech of Fairview, Dale and Tammy Frech of Edmond, Don and Katryna Frech of Helena and Laneta and Gary Whitely of Cherokee, Bruce Koehn of Waynoka; 15 grandchildren, Darinda Frech, Drew and McKenzee Frech, Darin Frech, Brittany Frech, Chassidee Koehn, Kasya, Kendra, Kaytlynn, Braydon and Camdon Frech, Jeremy, Jessica and Nicole Unruh, and Shyla and Ty Whitely; two great-grandchildren, Keegen Trent Frech and Mac David Frech; and three brothers, Ken and Evelyn Frech of Medford, Ron and Mary of Paradise, Texas and Doug Frech of Helena and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

His parents, daughter Shannon and grandson Chase preceded him in death.

Memorial donations may be made to the Cedar Springs Church of the Nazarene or to the OMRF Diabetes Fund with Fairview Funeral Home, Inc. serving as custodian of the funds.
