A celebration of life for Dennis Gene Wilder, 40, of Fairview, Oklahoma will be at10:30 A.M., Wednesday, May 31, 2023, in the Fairview First Assembly of God, followed by graveside celebration at the Fairview Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Dennis Gene Wilder was born January, 19, 1983 in Fairview, Oklahoma, to James David "Buster" and Shirley Carol (Hicks) Wilder and passed away suddenly in Fairview on May 20, 2023.

Dennis grew up in Fairview and attending the Fairview Schools, graduating from Fairview High School in 2001.  After high school he went to work for BRAMCO as a welder.  On March 25, 2009 he was blessed with the birth of his daughter Dayton who was the light of his life.  Dennis was a hard-working man that was known by many as mister fix-it.  He loved to destroy things and then put them back together and always had left over parts.  He also enjoyed working with his nephew, Derick Wilder.

Dennis loved taking his daughter Dayton fishing and spending time with her.  He had many hobbies during his life, but he loved spending as much time as he could helping others and his family.  He was a gentle man that will be truly missed by those he knew and loved.

Dennis is survived by his daughter Dayton Wilder, two brothers; James Wilder, Jr. and his wife Gayla and Gary Wayne Wilder and his wife Sheila, two sisters; Judy Spomer and Susan Burghardt.  He is also survived by his baby momma Jackie Mitchell as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Dennis Wilder Memorial with the funeral home acting as custodians of the funds.
