Services for Dillon Lane Baldwin, 22 of Fairview, will be 2 pm, Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at the Fairview High School Gym. Rev David Mendenhall will officiate. Dillon was killed in a car accident early Saturday morning north of Fairview. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Dillon Lane Baldwin was born November 20, 1990 to Carl David and Pamela (Charmasson) Baldwin in Elk City, OK and passed from this life suddenly after a tragic automobile accident on September 7, 2013.

Dillon grew up in Erick, OK, attending Erick Public Schools through the seventh grade. He was active in basketball, baseball and little league football. Dillon was a member of Erick First Baptist Church. When his father accepted a position as a coach and teacher for the Fairview School System, Dillon was in the eighth grade and began attending Chamberlain Middle School where his mom, Pam was employed. He attended Fairview High School and graduated with the Class of 2009 with the honor of being Valedictorian. Being very active in Jacket basketball, Dillon received many honors and awards including: 2009 State Tournament Semi Finals team member, Northwest Oklahoma Player of the Year 2009, OBCA all Star Team 2009, K101 All Star Team 2009, Okeene Invitational MVP 2009, Wheat Capital All-Tournament Team 2007, 2008 and 2009, and the Okeene Invitational All-Tournament Team 2007 and 2008. He was also very active in baseball where he received the Great Plains Conference All-Star Player Infield Award for 2007 and 2008, football, golf, student council, FCA, FFA and American Legion Baseball. Through Student Council he participated in the March of Dimes and community food drives, Dillon coached elementary boys at Saturday Morning Hoops League 2006-2008 and volunteered his time at the Fairview Golf Course. Dillon was a member of the Fairview First Baptist Church and youth group.

Following graduation Dillon accepted a scholarship for baseball to NWOSU in Alva, OK where he attended for a year and a half. He then transferred to SWOSU in Weatherford, OK where he studied for two years. Dillon was presently employed by Trinity Services and Consulting in Enid, OK.

Always fun loving and sensitive with a big heart and lots of energy Dillon was a joy to be around. He loved spending time with his nieces and nephew. He was a wonderful son, brother and a friend to many. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

Surviving are his parents, Pam and David and brother Ryan of the home, sister, Christa and husband Bryan and their children; Hailey, Aiden and Chloe of Bristol, Tennessee, grandparents, Carl and Shirley of Duncanville, Texas and Claude and Rena Charmasson of Woodward, OK and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Preceding him in death was his grandmother, Margie Baldwin.
