Obituary

A Celebration of Life service for Donald Gregory Nacke, 64, of Fairview, will be at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, January 3, 2015 at the Fairview Mennonite Brethren Youth Center. Cremation arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home Inc. He had requested to be cremated.

Donald was born in Aurora, IL on March 19, 1951 to Louis Casper and Beulah May Nacke. Later his family moved to Mesa, AZ which is where he met his wife of 44 years.

He married Barbara S. Nacke (Hambrick) on March 7, 1970 in Mesa, AZ. On July 28, 1971 the two welcomed a baby girl, Heather. At that time Donald owned his own landscaping business. They later moved to Taloga, OK to follow the oil boom. On February 3, 1978 they welcomed another baby girl, Monica. The family of four was then complete. Donald worked in the oilfield for several years, and later he was self-employed as a painter. Through the marriages of his daughters he gained two sons. Brian D. Scoggins married his daughter Heather, and Ryan D. Wahl married his daughter Monica. Donald had a great group of grandkids...Paige Nichole Reihm, Tanner Jay Reihm, Skylar Ann Scoggins, Rylee Hunter Wahl and Abbey Marie Wahl. He loved working and hunting with his grandson, and they talked about the big buck that got away all of the time. The girls had him wrapped around his finger. He was a sucker for the granddaughters.

He was a hard worker. He did many jobs for those in the community. He was loved by all who knew him.

He loved old cars, hunting, fishing, watching sports, garage selling, the Sci-Fi Channel, his morning coffee crew, and his family. He will be deeply missed.

He was proceeded in death by his parents (Louis and Beulah Nacke), his in-laws (John and Christine Hambrick), two brothers-in-laws (John Dearl Hambrick and Michael Hambrick), and a sister-in-law (Kathy Hambrick).

In Lieu of flowers donation may be made to the Donald Nacke Memorial fund with the Fairview Funeral Home Inc. acting as custodians.
