Donald Haughton Parker, longtime resident of Fairview passed away on September 3, 2013 at the Woodmanor Nursing home in Claremore, Oklahoma at the age of 96. Services will be at the Cedar Springs Church of the Nazarene at 1:30 pm on September 9, 2013 with Rev. Orville White and Terry Schakelaar officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Donald was born on January 19, 1917 at Fairview, OK to Nelson and Emma (Crump) Parker, and grew up in the Fairview area, graduating from Fairview High School.

Donald married Wilma E. Felder on March 30, 1936 at the Cedar Springs Church of the Nazarene West of Fairview, where the two had met when she was 15 and he was 17. They were married by Clara Felder, the Pastor of the church and Wilma's mother. After the couple was married, they moved to and began farming on Donald's father's farm 10 miles Southwest of Fairview, which was their home for 70 years.

Donald kept farming wheat after moving to Bethany, Oklahoma in 1960. He and Wilma attended Williams Memorial Church of the Nazarene where they formed life-long friendships. For the next 15 years he was a home builder in the Oklahoma City area. They retired back to the family farm in 1976, where he designed and built a new home for Wilma. When Donald was not working, he enjoyed fellowship with his friends and neighbors. He cherished the family holiday celebrations and family reunions that included six generations of his children's children. Donald modeled a life of industry, integrity, and irrepressible joy in fellowship with his family, church, and innumerable friends.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents; Nelson and Emmy Parker, 2 brothers Grover and Neal Parker, and sister Josaphene Kliewer.

He is survived by five children; two sons Jerry Bill Parker of Woodward, OK and Dr. David D. Parker and wife Lisa of Tulsa, OK, three daughters; Madonna E. McConnel and husband Edward of Las Vegas, NV, Dorothy C. Parker of Claremore, OK, and Melody R. Parker and husband Wesley of Flower Mound, TX, 23 Grandchildren and numerous Great and Great-Great Grandchildren.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Cedar Springs Church of the Nazarene with Fairview Funeral Home Inc acting as custodians of the funds.
