Graveside funeral services for Elaine May Wilson, 74, of Amarillo, Texas, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 27, 2016, at the Fairview Cemetery, in Fairview, Oklahoma. Pastor Derek Cox will officiate. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.
Elaine May was born August 8, 1942 in Enid, Oklahoma to Raymond "Shorty" and Mamie Marie (Coffey) Wimer and passed from this life December 22, 2016 in Amarillo, Texas. Elaine attended Fairview Schools until the age of sixteen when she and Marion Wilson were married in the Fairview Baptist Church. Following their nuptials the couple moved to Ulysses, Kansas where they began their married life together. She was the deputy treasurer for Grant County. They enjoyed camping and traveling in their motor home. Elaine enjoyed the simple things in life like spending time with her friends and family, fishing and painting. She was a talker for sure. At the holidays, no one was left out. She made sure four generations of family received a gift and each person was made to feel special. Elaine never missed her favorite TV show, Law and Order. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Marion, daughter, Kelly, two brothers and one great grandchild.
She is survived by her daughter Shauna Wilson of Amarillo, TX and one brother, Harry Wimer, four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorial contributions can be made to Another Chance House with the funeral home acting as custodian of the funds.
