Memorial Services for Eleanor Kendall Henson, 79, of Fairview, will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 20, 2008, at the First United Methodist Church in Fairview, Oklahoma. There will be a private family burial. The Reverend Richert Redinger will officiate. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

There will be no viewing due to her request. Friends may sign the register book at the Fairview Funeral Home, Inc. on Monday for 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 pm. Eleanor Kendall Henson was born March 17, 1929 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Rex and Lelah (Washburn) Kendall and passed away May 18, 2008 at the Fairview Regional Medical Center in Fairview, Oklahoma.

Eleanor attended school in Dewey and graduated from Dewey High School in 1945. She attended Oklahoma A&M where she met Ramon Henson. They were married May 29, 1948 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. To this union were born three children. They lived in Cheyenne, Wyoming for many years. Eleanor was the Executive Secretary to the State Land Commissioner of Wyoming. She was an avid bridge player and belonged to several bridge clubs in Cheyenne, and in Fairview and Okeene when they returned to Oklahoma eight years ago. Eleanor was life long Methodist and an accomplished organist and pianist. When they moved to Fairview, she became a member of the First United Methodist Church of Fairview.

Eleanor is survived by her husband Ramon of Fairview; three children, Roger and Valerie Henson of Omaha, Nebraska, David and Sandra Henson of Oklahoma City, Lisa and Jeff Kob of Coronado, California; six grandchildren, Andrew Henson, Christopher Henson and wife Sheridan, Tim Henson, Victoria and Emily Kob; one brother, Richard and Alma Kendall of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; sister-in-law Carol and Bob Allsman of Columbia, Missouri and brother in law Bob Henson of Isabella, Oklahoma.

Her parents preceded her in death.

Memorials may be made to the Fairview First United Methodist Church Blessing Bucket with Fairview Funeral Home Inc. serving as custodians of the funds.
