Obituary

Celebration of Life for Elouise Quiring, 97, will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 12, 2019 at the Central Christian Church with burial in the Fairview Cemetery in Fairview, Oklahoma.  The Reverend Jeff Knighton will officiate.  Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Elouise Miles Quiring passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family on October 7, 2019.  She was born January 28, 1922, in Ringwood, Oklahoma to Ernest and Goldie (Longwell) Miles.  She was baptized in the Ames Christian Church.  Elouise attended and graduated from Ames Public School.  After high school, she moved to Fairview, Oklahoma and worked in the Court House.

She met and married Eugene Quiring on April 3 rd , 1942 and 5 months later he volunteered for the Air Force and was stationed at Dodge City, Kansas.  Elouise and Eugene had three sons, Phillip, Michael, and Patrick.  Elouise was a member of the Central Christian Church and she loved her church.  She served in many departments and was active in CWF.  Elouise was office manager of the Fairview Hospital where she retired.  She worked the Major County Elections until 2018.

Her hobbies were playing bridge and duplicate bridge, and working in her yard.  She had a garden of beautiful flowers in her backyard where family had the best conversations with her.

She is preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Goldie Miles, her husband Eugene Quiring in January of 1967, her sisters Birdene Schoonover and Iona Miles, Nephews Conrad Odell and Shelby Odell.

Elouise is survived by her Sons Phillip and Fran Quiring of Fairview, Michael and Shelly Quiring of Oklahoma City, and Patrick and Paula Quiring of Stillwater.  Grandchildren Gina and Tex Richardson of Seminole, Spencer Quiring of Fairview, Brandon and Brenda of Stillwater, Amber and Gideon Traub of Chicago, Illinois, Blair Quiring of Aspen, Colorado, and Tanner and Kelly Quiring of Houston, Texas, 13 Great Grandchildren and two Great Great grandchildren as well as her loving niece.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Central Christian Church with the funeral home acting as custodian of the funds.
