Graveside Services for Elsie Mae Koehn, 94, of Ringwood, will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, June 11, 2026, at the Cedar Cemetery southeast of Fairview, Oklahoma.  The Reverend Loyd Nightengale and Rodney Wedel will officiate.  Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Elsie Mae (Jantz) Koehn was born on March 1, 1932 four miles east of Fairview on the farm, to Benjamin and Lavina (Koehn) Jantz.  Elsie went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 5, 2026 at the age of 94 years old at Integris Hospital in Enid, Oklahoma.

She grew up with three sisters, Lorene, Martha, and Vivian.  Elsie married Claude Koehn on September 17, 1949 and they had 69 wonderful together until Claude passed away in 2019.  To this union came three children, Erma, Dennis, and Debbie.

They lived around Fairview for 14 years then moved to Ringwood and lived there 47 and a half years.  In 2023 Elsie moved into Greenbrier Nursing Home.  Elsie was a house wife most of her married life.  She liked to bake and sew.  Her grandchildren loved her pickles and strawberry jelly.  She also made some pretty good cinnamon rolls.  She always enjoyed her grandchildren and catching up on what each was doing.  Elsie liked putting puzzles together during the long winter evenings.  She also liked reading and watching the Pat Robertson 700 Club Christian TV.  It was while watching Pat Robertson and the shows prayer time that Elsie asked Jesus Christ to be her Savior.  She said she felt his presence come into her heart.

Elsie was preceded in death by her husband Claude W. Koehn, her parents Ben and Lavina Jantz, one daughter Erma Laughead, her sisters, Lorene Elliott, Martha Nightengale, and Vivian Myers.

She is survived by one son Dennis and wife Shelia Koehn of Orlando, Oklahoma, one daughter, Debbie and husband Doug McCeary of Ringwood, Oklahoma, and son-in-law Paul and wife Linda Laughead, eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and two sisters-in-law Rosetta Schmidt of Livingston, California and Mary Helen Koehn of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
