Obituary

Emmalee Eck Redway, longtime resident of Fairview, passes away on December 13, 2011 at the age of 87. Services will be held at the Fairview Baptist Church at 1:30 p.m. on December 17, 2011 with David Mendenhall officiating. Arrangments are under the direction of the Fairview Funeral Home.

Family Visitation will be Friday, 16 December, from 7 -9 PM.

Emmalee was born in Enid , OK. on July 29, 1924 to Pratt Lytle Massey and Beulah Hennington Massey. She was reared in Enid and later moved with her family to Ringwood, OK. where she attended school. On April 7, 1940 she married Ollie William Eck. Following his discharge from the Navy they moved to Fairview, OK. where she lived until her death.

In 1967 she married Paul Wilfred Redway at Grandfield, Ok. She enjoyed talking on the telephone with her family and friends, quilting and was an excellent cook. She was member of the Fairview Baptist Church. She also was a longtime member of the Betterment Club. In April 2006 she suffered a stroke and was a resident of the Fairview Fellowship Home at the time of her death.

She is survived by two sons, Robert Eck of Talihina, Ok and James Eck and his wife Peggy of Ponca City, Ok., a sister, Mary Margaret Walenta and husband Fred of Fairview, six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, one great, great-grandchild and two step children, Shalah Arlian and her husband Ron of Centennial CO. and Cecil and Gale Redway of Kansas City, KS. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Paul, a sister and brother, her daughter, Karen Tepe and son-in-law, Harold Tepe, one grandson, Bret Tepe.
