A private burial for Estrella Betty Albarran, 69, of Fairview, wife of Samuel "Sam" Albarran, was held at the Fairview Cemetery on July 31, 2025 as per her request.  A celebration of life service will be at the Fairview School Auditorium on August 16 at 10:00 a.m.  Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home Inc.,

Estrella Betty Albarran was born March 16, 1956, in Guadalajara, Mexico to Cristobal Francisco and Alicia Margaret (Erdman) Montealegre.  Estrella grew up helping her parent and grandparents who were all missionaries and moved many times during her childhood.  She continued her education and attended Bible College in 1973 where she met Samual "Sam" Albarran.  They were married in San Luis Potosi, Mexico on Aug 16, 1975.  The couple was blessed with two daughters, Sandra and Estrella.  They finally made their home in Fairview, Oklahoma where see lived until she went to be with his Heavenly Father July 31, 2025.

Estrella was a stay-at-home mom and schooled her children for 10 years before going to public school.  She wrote several books during her life time as well as many poems and songs.  She was a very talented woman.  Not only did she like writing, she also loved, sewing, writing music, making crafts and gardening.  She loved to cook, she cooked healthy meals from scratch and Sam said she was a very good cook.

Estrella was a loving kind hearted woman who took care of her family.  She never had a negative word to say about anything or anyone.  She was a devoted wife and mother.  She will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Estrella was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and one son.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband Sam, daughters, Sandra B. Flamine and Estrella R. Rojas, three grandchildren, four brothers, Cristobal Montealegre, Phillip Reeder, David Montealegre and Alejandro Montealegre, and her three sisters, Rebeca Montealegre, Alice Ray, and Dee Ivan.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Hospice Circle of Love, with the funeral home acting as custodian of the funds.
