Memorial Services for Fae Marie Bierig, 92, of Fairview will be at a later date.  Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Fae Marie Bierig (Proffitt) was born April 9,1931 to George Washington and Eva Marie (Kahle) Proffitt and departed this life on Nov. 21,2023.

She graduated from Fairview High School in 1949, after graduation she worked as a bookkeeper in Oklahoma City.  On March 21,1952, she married Roger Lee Bierig they made their home in Lawton until 1963 when they moved to California.  She then continued her bookkeeping skills until she retired.  Roger and Fae moved back to Okeene in 2005 and they kept busy following the Okeene whippets.  After roger passed away, Fae became active in the red hat ladies, going to senior citizen and the library.  Fae also stayed active with her granddaughter Ava.

Fae is survived by her son Benny Lee Bierig, grandson Justin Mathew and granddaughter Ava Catherine end sister-n-law Berneita Strohm, nieces Linda Howerton, and Rita (Terry)Mitch.

Fae is preceded in death by her parents, husband Roger Bierig, brother, Lester Proffitt, nephew, Rudy Proffitt, niece, Janell Curtis and one cousin. Mason Proffitt.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Okeene Public Library.
