Funeral services for Frances June Gould, 92, Fairview, will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 21, 2016 at the Fairview Nazarene Church with Pastor Ricky Chance officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home Inc.
Frances June (Clark) Gould was born December 19, 1923 in Southwest City, Missouri to Edward Jackson and Rachel Louise (Saffle) Clark and passed from this life May 17, 2016 at the age of 92. Frances was raised in a loving home on the family farm, outside Southwest City with her parents, grandparents, and her siblings, Lucy Mae and Willis Edward. She attended school there and graduated with the Class of 1940. Following high school she enrolled in Business College in Joplin, MO and finished with a degree in accounting and bookkeeping. She met the love of her life Earl Lee Gould and they were married on August 31, 1942. Frances worked for numerous business and individuals doing bookkeeping. They lived in Neosho, MO, Enid, OK, Joplin, MO, Blackwell, OK, Seiling, OK, Chester, OK and Fairview, OK. To this union were born three children; Ed, Mina Louise and Marvin. She and Lee made many friends wherever they lived.
Frances had a servant's heart. You didn't enter her home without being invited to sit down for a meal. If someone was in need, Frances was the first one to offer help. Her family was her greatest love. She enjoyed watching her grandkids play ball and supported them in all their activities. Frances took pride in her yard and loved her flower gardens. She enjoyed watching the squirrels and birds. Her pets were very special to her as well and she had many through the years. She had a sweet and gentle spirit and she will be missed by all who knew her.
Preceding her in death are her parents, husband Lee, one sister, one brother, 3 brothers in law and 3 sisters in law.
She is survived by her three children; Ed and wife Donna Gould of Fairview, Louise and husband Garold DeWitt of Braman, OK, and Marvin and wife Janie of Alva, OK, grandchildren; Frances LeAnn Chastain, Terry Lee Sims II and wife Susan, Bobby Gould, Terry Don Gould and wife Lynn, Melinda Gould, Jacob Gould, Steve DeWitt and wife Janie and Sheryl Street and husband Darrell, great-grandchildren; Maddye Chastain, Ford Chastain, Kylee Gould, Trey Gould, Shalee Gould, Derek Gould, Colton Gould, Dane and wife Tori DeWitt, Drew DeWitt, Dylan DeWitt, Kayla Street, Laramie Freeman, Angela Evans and Brittany Evans, sister in law Yvonne Bensch and husband Duane, brother in law Tom Gould and wife Dee and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial contributions can be made to Fairview Nazarene Church or Faith Hospice with the funeral home acting as custodian of the funds.
