Obituary

Funeral services for Georgia Mae Morrison, 92, of Fairview, will be at 1:30 p.m., Friday, December 2, 2016, at the Central Christian Church in Fairview, Oklahoma. The Reverend Ronnie Hopkins will officiate. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Family visitation is scheduled for Thursday, December 1, 2016 from 6 to 8 pm.

Georgia Mae (Cravens) Morrison was born May 17, 1924 on the family farm near Longdale, Oklahoma to Charlie Raymond and Josie May (Eubank) Cravens and passed from this life on November 28, 2016 at the Fairview Regional Medical Center.

Georgia grew up in the Longdale area and attended Con 6 School. She married Lonnie Morrison on August 12, 1940 in Fairview. The couple moved to Rocky Ford, Colorado for two years then returned to Fairview where they lived out their lives. Together they raised five children; Lonnie Dean, James Orval, Gary Dale, Ronald Dewayne and Jean.

In the 1960's Georgia began working for the Fairview Fellowship Home. She started in the housekeeping department but soon moved to the kitchen where she worked her way up to Dietary Supervisor and continued there for 30 plus years.

Georgia was a member of the Central Christian Church. A charter member of the Wranglers in 1964, Georgia held the Secretary position for several years. Her greatest love was her children and grandchildren and she spent many hours supporting them in all their school activities and sports.

Georgia is survived by her daughter, Jean and Phil Brown of Stillwater, OK, three sons; Dean and Linda Morrison of Stroud, OK, Jim Morrison of Cheyenne Valley, OK and Ronnie and Marilyn Morrison of Laverne, OK, daughter-in-law, Gay Morrison of Enid, OK, nine grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and one sister, Esther Cravens also of Fairview.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Lonnie, son Gary, four sisters and four brothers.

Memorials may be made to Central Christian Church, Fairview, OK with the funeral home acting as custodian of the funds.
