Graveside services for Gerald Eugene McDaniel, 67, of McLean, Texas be 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at the Fairview Cemetery, Fairview, Oklahoma.  Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Viewing at the Fairview Funeral Home Inc. will be Tuesday, September 21, from 10:00 a.m. to Noon.

Gerald Eugene McDaniel was born on October 18, 1952 to George Allen and Kathleen Marjorie (Smith) McDaniel and passed away September 17, 2021 at his home in McLean, Texas after a battle with Covid.

Gerald graduated from high school and started working in the oil field.  He married Carol Janine Edmiston in Carol Stream, Illinois on June 12, 1971.  The young couple was blessed with three children, Allen, Christopher, and Brian.  He began working in the oil and gas industry from roughneck, welding to driller.  Once the oil and gas industry declined, he turned to welding and worked his way to shop foreman.  The last part of his life he drove a truck and retired from the trucking industry in 2019.  Gerald was a loving man that loved his family and friends and will be truly missed.

Gerald is survived by his three sons; Allen and his wife Vallerie McDaniel of McLean, Texas, Christopher and his wife Lorinda McDaniel of Enid, Oklahoma, and Brian McDaniel, eleven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.  He is also survived by four brothers; Billy and his wife Judy McDaniel, Ted and his wife Sandy McDaniel, Jerry and his wife Lori McDaniel and Shawn McDaniel, and two sisters; Cecilia Emerson and Kathy and her husband Kevin Kurtz.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George Allen McDaniel Sr. and Kathleen Marjorie (Smith) McDaniel, and one brother George Allen McDaniel Jr.
