Funeral services for Glen Eugene Evans, 54, of Chester, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, September 8, 2018 at the Cedar Springs Church of the Nazarene, with Shawn Classen officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Glen was born August 10, 1964 in Fairview, Oklahoma to parents, Frank and Carlene (Montgomery) Evans and passed away September 1, 2018, at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Glen grew up west of Fairview and graduated from Fairview High School with the Class of 1982. He worked many jobs through the years. Glen was a ranch hand for Carl Baird, for Kliewer Casing, owned his own small engine repair business and then worked for PIC which became Seaboard hog farms.

He married Angeline Shipman on February 15, 2003 and gained three stepsons, Gary and Ryan Fox and Michael Shipman. These boys have always considered Glen the dad they never had. He and Angie divorced.

Glen and Sonya Vodry were the best of friends. She put a sparkle in his eye like no one else could. Glen was a hunter and fisherman, raised huge gardens, made his own wine and beer and enjoyed his cattle, but he loved spending time with his nieces, nephews and family the most.

Left to cherish his memory are his sisters; Cindy Bierig and husband Rick, Terri Kastner and Keri Montgomery, brother, Leonard Cravens, and wife Kathleen. Nieces and nephews, Todd and Tyler Cravens, Jonathon and Kaity Kastner, Ian Lamberson, best friends, Sonya Vodry, Alexis and Alyssa Guerrero and a host of many other nieces and nephews, family and friends.

Preceding him are his parents, and two nieces Anna and Susan Cravens.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Cedar Springs Nazarene church with the funeral home acting as custodian of the funds.
