Obituary

A private celebration of life will be July 11th, 2021.  Cremation arrangements were by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Glenn A. Kliewer, son of Arthur Kliewer and Josephine (Parker) Kliewer was born January 14,1944 at Fairview OK.  He peacefully completed his earthly journey at his home in Fairview, OK on June 7th, 2021 at the age of 77 years, 5 months with his wife at his bedside.  Glenn attended grade school through his senior year in the Fairview public school system.  Glenn married following high school and from that union Karen Kliewer Bisel, David Kriss Kliewer, Kelly Kliewer Perry, and Kevin Kliewer were born.  On November 1 st , 1975, Glenn married Frieda Hobbs Kliewer and from that union Brandon Joseph Kliewer was born.

Glenn believed in community involvement.  While his sons were in high school he was very active in their FFA activities and taught them all he knew about raising livestock and how to win in many livestock shows.

His working years began at a very young age working day jobs in order to take care of his children.  Glenn found his true calling when he started working in sales.  Glenn, owned and operated Kliewer Feeds and Fertilizer in early 1970's and later teamed up with his brothers Larry and Melvin J Kliewer and opened Fairview Casing Company an oil related business.  After a decline in the oil industry Glenn started a business importing residential and commercial doors and windows from France and Canada.  A work-related injury left him with a disability that ended his career in sales.  After retiring he became a stay at home spouse where he honed his cooking skills preparing evening meals that was enjoyed by him and his wife.

Glenn's hobbies and special interests included working in his yard, mowing and landscaping, deer hunting, fishing and traveling where many great memories were made on numerous trips.  His family was a very important part of his life and spending time with them was always special.  Glenn was a beloved husband, father, brother, brother-in-law, grandfather, uncle, and friend.  His quiet wit, caring ways and his smile will be missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his father, his mother, his son Kriss, daughter Kelly and his brother James and sister Bonnie Williams and many other relatives.

His memory will be cherished by his wife, Frieda of Fairview, OK, his sons; Kevin Kliewer of Carney OK and Brandon Kliewer of Broken Arrow, a daughter Karen Bisel of Chandler, Ok. and their spouses, three sisters; Melva, Arthetta and Janet, brothers Larry, Jay and a very special friend Rogier Elsendoom of the Netherlands.  Glenn has 11 grandchildren, Josh Robert's, Jeremiah Bisel, Jessica Bisel, John Kliewer, Jennifer Mills, Jacob Kliewer, David Perry, Kayla Perry, Lane Kliewer, Cole Kliewer and Reed Kliewer, and other relatives and friends from every corner of Oklahoma and beyond.  Glenn had a great love for his family.  Nelda Hobbs, Beverly Wlodarski and Jolina Hoss were at his bedside when the Angels came to carry him away.
