Obituary

GM Honeyfield, 74, of Fort Cobb, Oklahoma, passed away unexpectedly on April 5, 2023.

GM was born on August 30, 1948, in Fairview, Oklahoma, to Gerald and Mary Rose Honeyfield.  GM graduated from Canton High School in 1966, where he met his future bride, Bonnie Stanford.  They married on June 15, 1968. They had two children, Rodney and Jennifer.

GM honorably served his country in the U.S. Army from April 1968-April 1970. GM served in Vietnam August 1968-August 1969 with the U.S. Army 715th Field Artillery. GM was awarded the National Defense Service Medal; Vietnam Service Medal with 3 Bronze service stars; and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal.

GM worked in the Oil and Gas Industry as a measurement field operator technician. Throughout his career he was employed by Texas Oil and Gas, Delhi, and ONEOK.

He is survived by his wife Bonnie of the home; son, Rodney and wife, Cindy of Mustang, Oklahoma; daughter, Jennifer of El Reno, Oklahoma. Five grandchildren Josie, Gunner, Hailey, Savanah, and Hunter. Seven great grandchildren Abel, Tucker, Ember, Willow, Oaklynn, Hazel, and Knox. His brother-in-law Gene and wife, Nancy Stanford, of Edmond, Oklahoma. Many loved niece's, nephew's, cousin's and an extensive list of friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father; his sister, Trilla Bench; Brother, Robert Honeyfield; Granddaughter Destiny Honeyfield; Great Grandson, Nash Leyva.
