Iola Keeton was born May 27, 1936 to William Lawrence and Jesse Pauline (Eaton) Keeton in Fairview, Oklahoma and passed away on March 4, 2010 at the O.U. Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Iola grew up in Fairview and attended Fairview Schools to the 12th grade. Iola was employed at a munitions plant in a suburb of Kansas City, Kansas for a short time. Iola was blessed with the birth of her daughter Carol and a few years later in 1968, she married Eugene "Jim" Anders in Kansas. The family moved back Fairview in 1971. Iola was a hard worker. She was employed by Ideals, later Karl's Apple Market, for 27 years. Iola went to work for Alco's for several years, transferred to the Fairview Packing Plant for four years and then returned to Alco's until her death. She enjoyed crocheting, assembling puzzles, reading romance novels and collected bottles of all kinds. Iola was a loving mother and grandmother that enjoyed life and lived it to its fullest. All who loved and knew her will miss her.
Iola is survived by her daughter Carol McDaniel of Fairview; two brothers, Kennard Keeton and wife Ruth of Lahoma, Oklahoma and K.W. Keeton and wife Darlene of Enid; three grandchildren, Allen McDaniel and wife Vallerie of Cozad, Nebraska, Christopher McDaniel and wife Lorinda of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Brian McDaniel of Lexington, Oklahoma ; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Her parents, one brother and one sister preceded her in death.
