Graveside Services for Ira Carlton White, age 60, will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday 26, 2011 at Bethel Cemetery, with Travis Howerton officiating. Arrangements by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Ira Carlton White was born February 20, 1951 in Fairview, Oklahoma to Tom and Etta (Guthrie) White and passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at his home.

Ira graduated Canton High School and at the age of 18 joined the U.S. Navy. During his time in the Navy, he was stationed at Norfolk, Virginia as a Navy Coreman. After his Honorable Discharge from the Navy, Ira attended SWOSU receiving a degree in psychology. After graduation Ira went to work for the Department of Human Services of Oklahoma and after 22 years of service retired. He was an avid fisherman and woods man. He enjoyed spending time with his son and grandson.

He is survived by his son, Chris White and wife Lori, grandson Grady all of Ames; sisters, Tammy White of Enid, and Christina Taylor and husband Gary of Watonga. Also he is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Ira was preceded in death by his parents Tom and Etta White, sisters, Gladys, Fay, Tulia, and Mary.
