Funeral Services for Isaac S. Regier Sr., 81, of Cleo Springs, will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at the Fairview Mennonite Brethren Church. The Reverend Brad Penner will officiate. Burial will follow in the Mennonite Brethren Cemetery, Enid, Oklahoma. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.
Isaac Regier Sr. was born February 10, 1930 in Enid to Isaac I. and Sarah (Rempel) Regier and passed away February 26, 2011 at the Fairview Fellowship Home, Fairview.
Isaac was born north of Enid. The family returned to the family home in the Texas Panhandle where they lived for a short time and they then moved back to north of Enid, Oklahoma. As a child Isaac always went to the field with his father. He graduated from Kremlin High School. After graduation Isaac continued farming, which had always been his life-long dream. During his life he had 60 wheat harvests. Isaac married Ruby Buller on January 7, 1955 in Enid. They were blessed with two daughters and two sons. In 1960 the family moved to Fairview for a short while and then to their farm near Cleo Springs. Isaac continued to farm until 2007 when he had an accident that ended his farming days. He was a member of the Mennonite Brethren Church in Fairview and Enid and also attended the Saron Mennonite Church in Orienta. Isaac was on the OBA Board and the Orienta Co-op Board.
Isaac is survived by his wife, Ruby Regier; four children, Junior Regier and wife Teresa, Cynthia Bartel and husband Howard, Lynette Schoenhals and husband Warren and Steve Regier and wife Rhonda; thirteen grandchildren, Tommy Regier and wife Joyce, Matthew Regier, Timothy Regier, Aaron Bartel, Emily Bartel, Katie Bartel, Mandi Schoenhals, Mollie Schoenhals, David Schoenhals, Dillon Schoenhals, Scott Niles, Dan Niles and Mark Niles; brother John Regier and wife Freida of California; and two sisters, Aganetha Sperling and husband Ruben of California and Viola Truitt of Enid.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Jacob.
