Memorial Services for Janice Louise Bagg, age 80, of Longdale, Oklahoma, will be on November 22, 2025, at 2 pm in the VFW in Liberal Kansas. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.
Janice was born May 1, 1945, in Fairview, Oklahoma to Charles Parkins and Mayme Olive (Montgomery) Parkins-Whetstone and passed away on October 19, 2025, in her home near Longdale, Oklahoma with her family by her side.
Janice grew up in Liberal, Kansas. In 1968, Janice met the love of her life, Glenn Bagg and they were married November 29. Together they raised two children, Cindy and Richard (Bud). Janice stayed busy raising her family and enjoying many hobbies and volunteer work. She enjoyed making macrame and ceramics. Janice bowled on a league for many years, and enjoyed bowling trips. She also volunteered many hours with the women's auxiliary of VFW Post 3166, Liberal, Kansas. After retiring, Janice and Glenn moved to the Longdale area. Janice enjoyed her many flower beds and reading detective novels. She was loved and will truly be missed.
Janice is survived by her husband, Glenn Bagg of the home, son, Richard Bagg of Wichita, Kansas, and daughter Cindy Scott and her husband L.J. Scott of Hooker, Oklahoma, grandchildren, Stormy Taylor and Derrik Daugherty and wife Ashley, and five great grandchildren, Sadie Wilson Scott, Shaddow Taylor, Justin, Wallace, and Dylan Daugherty. She is also survived by two brothers, C. L. Parkins, and Steve Parkins, five sisters Lela Tindall, Laura Ann Cravens, Charlene Parkins, Patricia (Patty) Brown, and Della Ferguson, and a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Charlie (Lucky) Parkins, and an infant sister Rosellen Parkins.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or charity of your choice with Fairview Funeral Home acting as custodian.
