Funeral Service for Jeffrey Eldon Hutton will be at the First Baptist Church in Fairview, Oklahoma. at 2pm, on Wednesday, July 29, 2026. The Reverend Derik Cox will officiate. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Jeffrey Eldon Hutton was born to Eldon and Shirley (Holter) Hutton on July 2, 1956, and went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 18, 2026, in his bed surrounded by family.

He grew up in Enid, OK where he enjoyed telling stories of his days at Waller Jr High and helping his grandparents, Carl and Myrtle Holter, with the Lazy H Motel. He also made many childhood memories with his grandparents, Henry and Anna Hutton, at their farm in the Oklahoma panhandle. He cherished the deep bonds he shared with his aunts, uncles, and cousins.

During his adolescent years, his parents opened a bait & quick shop near Canton Lake in Canton, OK. He helped his family run the store and went on to help his dad build Hutton's Corner Trailer Park founded in 1968. He transferred to Canton High School during his junior year and graduated in 1974.

In the years following, he went to trade school to begin a profession as an electrician and refrigeration technician. He worked at United States Gypsum for 25 years before his unexpected retirement due to problems with his health.

He married Laura Kay (Doane) Hutton on May 3, 1986. They made a home in Fairview, OK. This year, they celebrated 40 years of marriage. During his life, he also welcomed 4 beautiful daughters. Some of his favorite things to do included driving his boat, water skiing, fishing, and watching history shows. He enjoyed camping at Tenkiller Lake with his family. He also loved drinking coffee or Pepsi and visiting with friends, family, and tenants of the trailer park.

Jeff became very ill with heart complications in his 40s; however, he received a heart transplant on February 3, 2006, which gave him 20 more years of life. It wasn't an easy journey, but Jeff persevered to be present for the people in his life. Those additional years gave him more time with his family and to welcome all his grandchildren. In 2014, upon the passing of his mother, he became the owner of Hutton's Corner. In 2022, he fulfilled a lifelong dream to visit Hawaii and Pearl Harbor.

Jeffrey was a patriot and believer in Jesus Christ. He is survived by his wife, Laura Kay Hutton of Canton, OK; four children, Sandra Dee Hutton of Sharon, OK, Mandie Leigh Hutton of Seiling, OK, Kaylene LaRay (Hutton) Rivera {and Rico) of Weatherford, OK, and Brittany Anna {Hutton) Law (and Joshua) of Weatherford, OK; 8 grandchildren, Hunter Dunaway, Brendan Hutton, Berlin Hutton, Kisa Rivera, Korra Rivera, Kirah Rivera, Annabelle Law, and Vincent Law; and his sister, Pamela Jean Hutton.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Henry and Anna Hutton; maternal grandparents, Carl & Myrtle Holter; parents, Eldon and Shirley Hutton; and his favorite dog, Chunk.

Memorials may be made to the the Integris Health Nazih Zuhdi Transplant Institute or the church with the funeral home acting as custodians.
