Memorial Services for Jess Carlton "J.C." Place Jr., 55, of Ames, will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 22, 2016 at the Faith Center Fellowship Church, Meno, Oklahoma. J.C. was cremated per his request, there will be no viewing. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home Inc .
Jess Carlton Place, or as many people knew him as JC Place, was born on October 15, 1960 in Stroud, Oklahoma to Jess Carlton Sr. and Maxine (Brown) Place and passed away on August 18, 2016 at his home in Ames, Oklahoma after a short battle with Cancer.
JC grew up in Stroud Oklahoma and graduated from high school in 1978. After high school as many young men did at that time he went to work. In 1989 he married Dawn Mazouch and a short time later they were blessed with a lovely baby girl, Merrilea. As a younger man he owned drove a cattle truck and later owned and operated his own cattle operation. JC's passion was cattle and even rode bulls and saddle broncs in the rodeo. However, he did enjoy fishing with his daughter and went many times. JC was a loving husband, father, and friend to many people. He will be truly missed by all who knew him
JC is survived by his wife, Dawn of the home, one daughter, Merrilea Place, five sisters, nieces, nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jess Carlton Sr. and Maxine Place and one sister Helen Allen .
