Graveside services for John Henry Nightengale, 85, of Fairview will be held Thursday, October 8, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. in the Cedar Cemetery, Fairview.  Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 7 ^th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

John H. was born November 14, 1934 to Frank J. and Ella (Nichols) Nightengale.  He passed away October 5, 2020 in Fairview.

He married JoAnn (Nightingale) on August 7, 1961 in Fairview.  Three sons were added to this union.  John & JoAnn farmed, ranched, and built their lives together near Fairview up until JoAnn's death on July 22, 2012.

He is survived by his three sons:  Todd & wife, Shelly, Fairview; Tim & wife, Margaret, Ulysses, KS; Micah & wife, Joy, Fairview; six grandchildren:  Logan & wife, Madison, Grant & wife, Jill, Megan, Jeffrey, Ryan, and Macy; one great granddaughter due in December; Brother-in-law:  Gordon Unruh, Greensburg, KS, sisters-in-law:  JoAnn Nightengale, Walnut Hill, FL, Judy Countryman, Enid, and Janice Koehn and husband Maynard, Isabella; many nephews, nieces, and friends.

John was preceded in death by his parents, wife, five brothers and three sisters.

Memorials can be made to Cedar Cemetery Fund with Fairview Funeral Home, Inc. acting as custodian.
