Obituary

Funeral Services for Kenneth Wayne Brinson, 77, of Cleo Springs, will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 29, 2019, at the First Christian Church in Cleo Springs, Oklahoma.  The Reverend Sam Justice will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Square Cedar Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Kenneth Wayne Brinson was born on November 27 th , 1941 at his home in Cleo Springs, Oklahoma to Bruce Waldron and Olive Ruth Brinson.  Kenneth passed away at St. Mary's Hospital in Enid, Oklahoma on April 23 rd , 2019 after a brief illness.

Kenneth graduated from Cleo Springs High School in 1959 and married Glenda Faye Hunt in 1961.  To this marriage, four children were born:  Bruce Wayne Brinson, Darla Durree Brinson, Dianna Leigh Brinson, and Bret Orin Brinson.

Kenneth worked in the oil field during his younger years before operating Law Sand and Gravel.  The family had a roller rink which was called the Cimarron Skating Rink where he was known for dancing on skates and skating backwards when he was younger.  Kenneth also attended welding school at Autry Vo-tech Center in 1970 and received his welding certification.  Kenneth operated Kenneth Brinson Dozer Service from 1975 to 1982.  Kenneth was a self-employed truck driver for years before he became disabled.

Kenneth enjoyed hunting, fishing and being with his kids, grandkids and great-grandkids.  One of his most amazing feats was engineering and designing the existing tower at the Sand Pit.  As his life slowed down in his latter years, Kenneth enjoyed frequent outings with his friends-especially, Kristi Newton.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Brenda, son, Bruce Brinson, two nephews, four Step-brothers, and four Step-sisters.

Kenneth is survived by Step-Brother, Larry Stephens of Canton, Step-sister, Viola Gibson of Oklahoma City, daughter and son-in-law-Todd and Darla McDonald of Cleo Springs, daughter, Dianna Fisher of Ardmore, OK, Son, Bret Brinson of Kendrick, OK, eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and a whole host of nieces and nephews.

Memorials can be made to Aline-Cleo Public Schools with Fairview Funeral Home acting as custodian.
