Funeral services for Leah Dawn Shoemaker-Murrah, 33, of Fairview, will be 1:30 p.m., Monday, October 25, 2010, at the 1st Assembly of God with Reverend David Mendenhall officiating. Burial will follow at the Cedar Cemetery. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home Inc.

Visitation will be Friday & Saturday, 8 am to 5 pm and Sunday, 1 pm to 6 pm.

Leah was born November 30, 1976 in Enid to Gary L. and Genevieve (Kahn) Shoemaker and died October 20, 2010 at the Fairview Regional Hospital after a battle with cancer.

Leah was raised and educated in Fairview graduating in 1995. After graduation she received the Office Administrative Degree from Northwest Technology Center, Fairview. In December of 1996 she was blessed with the birth of her son, Johnathan, her pride and joy. After obtaining her degree she worked at the County Court Clerks office and then the Child Welfare office both in Fairview. Leah then started working at 1st American Cash Advance in Enid, after a short time she was advanced to manager over three stores over a five year period. At her time of death, Leah worked at Crabtree Department of Correction in the mail room.

She is survived by her son, Johnathan of the home; husband Sandown Murrah; her parents, Genevieve and Larry Merriman of Fairview and Gary and Sondra Shoemaker of Canton; one brother, Gary L. and wife Melissa Shoemaker of Fairview and adopted sister, Debbie Coffey.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents.
