Lewy R. Nichols, 62, was born March 5 th , 1958 at Okeene, Oklahoma to Rubin Nichols and Pauline (Nightingale) Nichols and passed away September 6 th , 2020 at Fairview Municipal Hospital.
Lewy grew up in Fairview and is a 1977 graduate of Fairview High School. He worked in the oil and gas industry as a mechanic for over 20 years. Lewy loved his family deeply and often said watching his children, Lindsey and Brady, whom he shared with his former spouse of 38 years, Teresa Nichols, grow up and become parents themselves was his greatest joy. He was a good father who always took care of his children and did the best he could to teach and guide them, a loving grandfather, and a man who would give his shirt for a friend.
Lewy was known by his friends and family for his kind heart and infectious smile. On Saturdays, you could find him helping his son Brady out at the farm, watching his grandkids play, or watching an OSU cowboys, or OKC thunder game. Lewy was a strong, proud and good man. He is loved and will be missed by many!
Lewy is survived by his daughter Lindsey Wallace and husband Chad Wallace of Aline, his son Brady Nichols and wife Kaitlyn Nichols of Fairview, four grandchildren, Rhett and Cy Wallace, Braelynn and Kylon Nichols, his former spouse Teresa Nichols of Carmen. His three sisters Alice Neal, Rose Lee Boehs and Marvin, Clara Jackson, and sister in law Oma Gay Nichols of Ringwood, and other beloved friends and relatives.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ruben and Pauline Nichols, brothers John and Willie Nichols, and sister Anna May Hoff.
