Funeral Services for Louise Marline Jackson, 80 of Longdale, will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 12, 2009, at the Cedar Springs Church of the Nazarene in Cedar Springs, Oklahoma. The Chaplin Randy Weaver and Steve Driskill will officiate. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Visitation will be at the Fairview Funeral Home, Inc. on Saturday, October 10 from 9-5 and Sunday, October 11 from 1-6.

Louise was born April 11, 1929 in Bado, Oklahoma to Perry James and Sylvia Vera (Warner) Fortune and passed away, Thursday, October 8, 2009 at the Fairview Fellowship Home in Fairview, Oklahoma.

She grew up on the family farm west of Bado, Oklahoma and attended Liberty school. After school she went to work at Smiths Poultry House counting eggs. Louise then went to work for Amy Shober at the café in Fairview. In 1948, she married Bobbie Jackson in Fairview upstairs over the old Fire Department. After they were married they moved to Texas where Bobbie was stationed with the US Army. For the next 21 years they traveled all the United States and Germany as Bobbie was moved from assignment to assignment. As they moved their family grew. After Bobbie retired on November 1, 1965, they settled in Wichita, Kansas for a few years and then moved to Fairview in 1969, where the last child was added to the family. In Fairview, Louise went to work for AML Grocery were she worked for over 18 years before retiring.

Together Louise and Bobbie loved fishing, bowling, mushroom hunting and watching birds. Louise and Bobbi have many bowling trophies. Louise was a wonderful wife for 61 years, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed.

Louise is survived by her husband, Bobbie of the home; three sons, Ronnie Dean and wife Toni of Wichita, Kansas, Ricky Lynn and wife Kerri of Ringwood, Oklahoma, Dwight Myron and wife Brenda of Longdale, Oklahoma; two daughters, Donnita Murray and husband Mike of Canton, Oklahoma and Tammy Jo Swanson and husband Chad of Fairview, Oklahoma; one brother, Dewayne and wife Helen Fortune of Wichita, Kansas; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren along with a host of other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Robert Lee Fortune.

Memorial donations may be made to the Faith Hospice with Fairview Funeral Home, Inc. serving as custodian of the funds.
