Lovella Bernice Ewald's Obituary
Funeral Services for Lovella Bernice Ewald, 85, will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, February 28, 2011 at the Fairview Mennonite Brethren Church. The Reverends Brad Penner and James Suderman will officiate. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.
Viewing will be Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Lovella Bernice Ewald was born August 28, 1925 on the family farm near Isabella, Oklahoma to Sam and Amelia (Weber) Patzkowsky and passed away February 23, 2011 at the Fairview Regional Medical Center in Fairview, Oklahoma.
Lovella grew up on a farm near Isabella and attended Peerless and Homestead Schools. She participated in several singing contests and also sang at weddings. Lovella was a member of the South Mennonite Brethren Church. She married Erven T. Ewald on April 28, 1946 in the Fairview South Mennonite Brethren Church. They settled down in Fairview and he worked at U.S. Gypsum at Southard, and then in 1948 he bought Farmers Service Station which later became Ewald's Tire and Service Center. They were blessed with three sons. Lovella was a homemaker, loved to cook and enjoyed raising the boys. She was a member of the Fairview Mennonite Brethren Church. Lovella volunteered as a Pink Lady at the Fairview Hospital. Lovella truly enjoyed spending time with her growing family to include grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Lovella is survived by three sons, Keeven Ewald and wife Karlea, Rodean Ewald, and Bradley Ewald and wife Melvena, all of Fairview; ten grandchildren, Amy, Bax, Conner, Ryland, Brook, Keesha, Kayda, Kamron, Mikala, Madison and nine great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren; brothers Arlo Patzkowsky, Sam Patzkowsky Jr., Earl Patzkowsky and sister Eunice Karber.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Erven and brother Marcine Patzkowsky.
