Funeral Services for Marguerite Mary (Bouse) Ewing, 99, will be 9:30 am, Saturday, August 28. 2010, at the First United Methodist Church, Fairview, OK. Reverend Rich Redinger will officiate. Burial will follow in the Homestead Cemetery, Homestead, Oklahoma. Arrangements by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 26, and Friday, August 27 from 9 am to 6 pm at the Fairview Funeral Home.

Marguerite was born May 25, 1911 in Homestead, Oklahoma on the family farm to Albert Ross and Nettie (Woolridge) Bouse and passed away August 25, 2010 at the Okeene Hospital, Okeene, Oklahoma.

Marguerite at the age of 8 years old lived with her aunt and uncle, John E. and Myrtle Bouse after her mother died. She attended school in Homestead. Marguerite received her teaching certificate from the College in Alva. For the next few years she taught elementary education at Vilas, Isabella and Peerless schools. On May 25, 1933 she married Raymond Elton Ewing and started her family. Over the next few years they were blessed with a son, Milton and a daughter, Marjorie. She was a loving mother and wife that took care of her husband and raising her children. Marguerite was a member of the Methodist Church and the Home Demonstration Club.

Marguerite is survived by her son, Milton Ewing of Isabella; her daughter Marjorie and husband Kennett Smith of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; daughter in law Shirley Ewing of Fairview; seven grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren, along with other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Raymond, two grandsons, Troy Ewing and Samuel Boaz Smith, one sister and three brothers.

Memorials may be made to the Fairview Fellowship Home or the First United Methodist Church with the Fairview Funeral Home, Inc. acting as custodian.
