Majoria was born October 15, 1929 in Breckenridge, Texas to Floyd Edgar and Jonnie Ada (Davis) Pearson and died April 16, 2012 at the Summit Living Center, Okeene, Oklahoma.

Majoria grew up in Breckenridge, Texas. She married Private Second Class Robert "Bob" Briggs and as the Army moved him from post to post she followed. After several moves, the young couple settled in Fairbanks, Alaska. To this blessed union was born two boys, Robert "Bobby" Jr. and Tommy Briggs. In 1969 Bob and Tommy were killed in a plane crash in Alaska. 5 years later in 1974, Marjoria and Bobby were involved in an auto accident and Bobby was killed. That same year, she met and married Clarence CJ Painter while he was working the oil field on the Alaskan north slopes. For several more years they lived in Alaska and then CJ's job brought them back to Fairview Oklahoma. After CJ's death in 2006, She moved to the Fairview Fellowship Home and then the Summit Living Center in Okeene. Marjoria was a strong willed and colorful woman who loved living in Alaska and the Northern Lights. She worked cleaning rooms in a hotel and managed a bar. She would tell stories of how as a young person she played as an extra in many movies. As she told the story you could see the joy in her eyes. She had many friends in the Fairview and Okeene area and will be missed.

She is survived by one sister, Patsy Simpson and husband AJ of Hockley, Texas, two step sons, one step daughter, several nephews, nieces and cousins and close friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, two sons, and one brother.
