Graveside services for Mark Allen Saladino, 70, of Fairview will be held on August 7, 2023. at 10:00 a.m. at the Fairview Cemetery, Fairview, Oklahoma.  The Rev Shelby Maddox will officiate.

Mark Allen Saladino was born in Waco, Texas on April 16, 1953, to Wanna (Martin) and Sam Saladino.  Mark grew up with his sisters Sheila and Sheryl.  An interesting fact that accrued was that all three of them were born in the same room at Hillcrest Hospital only thing different was the year they were born, and it wasn't planned ahead.

Their family was uprooted when their dad got transferred to Ft. Worth because, Conally AFB had been shut down.  So, they began again and went to school in Ft. Worth, Texas.  Mark graduated from Arlington Heights High School.  Mark attended Arlington Heights United Methodist Church where his family and other church members went on a mission trip, to help build a covered outdoor tabernacle for the American Indians in Muskogee.

He enjoyed singing in the choir, being in plays, and drawing.  He was in the opera "Aida" as a servant carrying the Queen.  Mark could draw just about anything and he was very fast.  He was also interested in Art and Art History.  Mark knew all kinds of Movie Trivia.

Mark attended the University of North Texas where he graduated with a degree in Fine Arts.  He could tell you the time periods for furniture, clothing, costumes, and movies.  He also became a teacher.  He taught Art and Art History.  He worked on several art projects, one was a drawing of the Arlington Heights Methodist Church, which was used for stationery and cards. Mark also drew on blueprints for the F-16 and the F-111 aircrafts for a subcontractor of General Dynamics in Fort Worth Texas.  He also worked in jewelry, teaching and drawing.

Mark loved drawing pictures for young children whenever he was around them.  He was always the most generous and kind person to everyone.  Sheryl said that he was almost "to sweet for this world".  Nancy used to tell him that he could open a school for men and teach them how to treat women.  It could work both ways though because some women could use a few lessons.

Success, in the eyes of the world, is measured in how far you can go in business or how much money you make, no matter who you might have to step on to do it.  In God's eyes, none of that matters.  God is not impressed with our money.  In God's eyes, what is important is being humble and kind, forgiving and generous, to all.  Mark was and is all of these things.  Nancy used to call him her "Angel Man", because he was understanding, kind, and generous.

He passed into Heaven on Monday, July 31, 2023.  We hope and pray, that he is walking and running all over heaven, and right now in the presents of God and Jesus.  Mark, you made us all better people.  Thank you, "Angel Man".  We will keep trusting and believing in Jesus and we hope to meet with Mark and Our other family members soon in Heaven.  We love you with all our hearts.

Mark is survived by wife Nancy Saladino of the home, two sisters, Sheila Ferrell of Fort Worth, Texas and Sheryl Aldridge of Aledo, Texas.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents.
