Funeral services for Martin Chester Koehn will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, June 14, 2018 at the Church of God in Christ Mennonite, Fairview, Oklahoma. Burial will follow in Cedar Cemetery. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home INC.

Martin Chester Koehn was born October 26, 1937 to Nathaniel and Linda (Kehn) Koehn in Fairview, Oklahoma. He grew up in Fairview and attended Banner Country School and finished his education at Fairview High. Martin was a brick mason working with his brothers; Harold, Claude and Lawrence. A young lady caught his eye and he fell head over heels for her. On January 5, 1957, Martin and June Edingfield were married. They were blessed with three children; Chester, Patti and Linda.

Never afraid of hard work, Martin laid brick and then went to work for Mabar as a welder from 1986 until 2005, when he retired, all while farming on the side. Retirement didn't last long when Gerald Koehn needed help. Martin chipped in and went back to laying brick once again, until his beloved June needed full time care and he retired for good. He loved to spend time with his kids and grandkids and have family get-togethers. But anytime he could wet a line, in a fishing hole somewhere, that is where you would find him.

Martin and June had lots of fun through the years camping with their kids and friends. The grandchildren remember fondly camping with Grandma and Grandpa while visiting places like Alabaster Caverns, going to the river and fishing in Walnut Lake.

Martin will be remembered with that sweet smile and good natured spirit and will be missed by so many.

Left to cherish the memories are his daughter Patti and husband Tracy Phillips of Mulhall, Oklahoma, four grandchildren; Cody Phillips, Brenda Klingaman, Tyler Koehn, and Chris Phillips, one brother, Claude and wife Elsie Koehn, one sister, Rosetta and husband Wilfred Schmidt, brother in law, Butch and Kathy Edingfield of Fairview and two sisters in law, Joy Belle Koehn,, of Ringwood, Etta Ann and Lavon of Ellensburg, WA and Joyce and Jack Kelly also of Fairview, ten great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded by his parents, his wife June, son Chester, daughter Linda, six brothers and one sister.

The family would like to thank Dr. John Stephen Price and all the staff at the Fellowship Home for the wonderful love and care during his stay there. Thanks to Faith Hospice for your care and compassion for Dad and the entire family.
