Funeral services for Marvin Boehs, 84 of Ringwood will be 2 P.M., Wednesday, May 26, 2021, in the Fairview Mennonite Brethren Church, with burial following in the Cedar Cemetery.  Arrangements by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Marvin Boehs was born on December 12, 1936 to Pete and Annie (Schmidt) Boehs at home near Isabella, Oklahoma.  After a long hard fight, Dad peacefully went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Golden Oaks in Enid, Oklahoma.

He was the third oldest of eight siblings.  He married his best friend and love of his life, Rose Lee Nichols on February 16, 1958.  They enjoyed 63 years of marriage together.  On November 11 ^th , 1954, Dad accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior and was baptized into the Church of God in Christ Mennonite.  To this union, they welcomed three daughters, Renee, Marlinda and Desiree.

Dad attended Progressive School thru the 8th grade.  He was a farmer and rancher all his life.  He owned and operated the 5B ranch near Ringwood, Oklahoma.  In 1969, Dad and his brother, LeRoy, owned L&M Farms and started a dirt construction business, LeJay Services.  At one point, they had three different locations in Enid, Clinton, and Giddings Texas.  They started out by building farm terraces and ponds.  In January 1988, Dad started his catfish farming business with eight stocked ponds.  He also provided the fish for the annual Liberty Federal 4 ^th of July Fishing Derby at Enid's Meadowlake Park.  A popular fishing destination for many was Dad's Walnut Lake near Ringwood.

Dad liked to help people whether it was helping a grandchild with college, lending tools, equipment, or his corrals to neighbors or co-signing on a house loan.

Dad enjoyed going to our high school basketball games and he especially enjoyed watching OKC Thunder and OSU basketball games.  He enjoyed snow skiing, traveling, and driving around the farm checking on the cattle and crops.  He always enjoyed spending time with family and always had a joke or story to tell.  Dad taught us girls to work hard, persevere and never quit.

Marvin is survived by his wife Rose Lee, daughters Renee (Randy) Heflin of Derby, Kansas, Marlinda Lamle of Ringwood, and Desiree (Bruce) Selby of Enid; grandchildren JW (Amy) Heflin of Andover, Kansas, Tanner (Kelly) Heflin of Stillwater, Weston (Courtney) Heflin of Derby, Kansas, Shanna Lamle of Fairview, Jacob (Kaitlynn) Selby of Enid, Katheryn Selby of Enid; great grandchildren Grace, Charlie, Karter, Emily, and Mathis.  Brothers Abraham Boehs, Harvey (Loretta) Boehs, sisters Lydia Mae Deuck, Velma (Johnny) Friesen, sisters-in-law Darlene Boehs, Ruth Boehs, brother-in-law Leonard and Marilyn Friesen and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers LeRoy and Edward, one sister Vada Friesen, two sisters-in-law Bernice Boehs, Lucille Boehs and nephew Roy Boehs.
