A family graveside service for Marvin Eugene Rogers, 88, of Fairview, OK will be held at a later date at the Fairview Cemetery. Marvin was born November 7, 1926 in Walnut Grove, MO to Marion V. and Erma J. McMillen Rogers and left this earth to be with his heavenly Father on May 20, 2015.

Marvin lived in Kansas most of his life before moving to Albuquerque, NM with his wife Gina L. Rogers. In 2007, Marvin moved to Fairview, OK where he lived until the time of his death.

Marvin began a 25 year career in the oilfield at the age of 16. Later he became a cross country truck driver for Yellow Freight retiring after 25 years of dedicated service. Marvin loved driving and was very proud of his career with Yellow Freight.

Marvin attended the First Baptist Church in Fairview until the time of his stroke in 2011. In November of that year, he moved to the Fairview Fellowship Home where he made many new friends during his stay there. He will be missed by all his friends and family that loved him.

Marvin is survived by three sons. Harrell Rogers of Denver, CO. Rick Rogers and wife Caren of Carbondale, CO, Marion Rogers and wife Donise of Fairview, OK, one daughter, Brenda Johannsen and husband Mike of Lyons, KS, one sister Wanda Nicholson of Springfield, MO., several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and brother.
