Funeral Services for Mary Jane Bryant, age 93, will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, March 17, 2008, at the Fairview Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the Bethel Cemetery. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday and from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday and Monday morning before the service at Fairview Funeral Home Inc

Mary Jane Bryant was born November 24, 1914 in Fairview, Oklahoma to John P Sharp and Jane (Ewbank) Sharp and passed away March 13, 2008 at the Fairview Fellowship Home.

Mary attended Fairview schools and graduated from Fairview High School as class valedictorian. After graduation she went to work for the phone company and was one of the first telephone operators in Fairview. She married Lynn E. Bryant on June 8, 1935 in Enid, Oklahoma. In 1947, the couple bought a farm near Orion. They returned to Fairview in 1954. Mary went to work as a bookkeeper for Cornelsen Motor Company and several years later held the same position at Jensen's. Then she began working at Weis Feed Store for a few years. Mary worked at Smith Drug Store for many years and then Kidd Drug Store until she retired in early 1992. In 1993 she moved to the Fairview Fellowship Home. Mary was a member of the Fairview First Baptist Church. She belonged to the Royal Neighbors Club.

Mary is survived by her two sons, Troy and Elva Bryant and Bruce Bryant, both of Oklahoma; one daughter, Ann and Ray Cook of Florida; and her beloved nephew, Richard Green and niece Pauline Bridwell; 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and one sister.
