Mary Lois Dalrymple's Obituary
Graveside Service for Mary Lois Dalrymple, 73, of Fairview, will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 18, 2016, at the North Mennonite Brethren Cemetery with a Celebration of Life Service following the burial at the Saron Mennonite Church at 11:00 am. Reverend Arnold Curby will officiate. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm, Friday, June 17 2016 at the funeral home.
Mary Lois Dalrymple was born to Elon and Viola (Warkentine) Nightengale on January 26, 1943 in Enid, OK and passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2016 in Enid, OK.
Mary Lois grew up in Fairview, OK, where she met her husband, Donald Dalrymple of Thomas, OK, on a blind date. They were married in Fairview on April 6, 1963 at the First Baptist Church. Shortly after their wedding, they relocated to Okeene, OK and gave birth to their first child, Lena. Mary Lois and Donald moved back to Fairview when he was offered a job at the State Department of Transportation. Upon their move back, they had their second child, Lois. Mary Lois was a homemaker before taking on work at the Fairview Elementary cafeteria once the girls were old enough. She continued working there for 15 years.
Mary Lois was very close to her grandkids and loved babysitting them. She also had a love for cooking which she shared with others by serving on the food committee at the Saron Mennonite Church and preparing lunches for the community at the Major County Senior Citizen Center for more than 25 years.
Mary Lois is survived by her husband Don of the home, children, Lena Kehn and husband, Mark Kehn, Waukomis, OK, Lois Seelke and husband, Matthew Seelke, Okeene, OK; four grandchildren, Brandi Keller and husband, David Keller, Corey Kehn, Isaac Seelke, and Grace Seelke.
Mary Lois was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Kenneth Dean Nightengale.
Memorials can be made to Saron Mennonite Church or Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (OMRF).
