Obituary

Graveside Services for Mary Lue Hendricks, 60, will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at the Bethal Cemetery, Fairview, Oklahoma. The Reverends Jim Veal and Tommy Pitt will be officiating. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Viewing will be from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday, October 13, and from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 14, and 9:00 a.m. till 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 15 at the funeral home.

Mary Lue Hendricks was born February 26, 1948 in Ava, Missouri to Lester and Pauline Jenkins and passed away October 10, 2008 at the Edmond Memorial Hospital.

Mary was raised in Ava, Missouri and graduated from Ava High School in 1965.

Mary Lue Wells married Robert "Bob" Hendricks on June 8, 1968 in Ava, Missouri and to this union were born four boys, Kurtis, Gary, Jackie and Robert Alan. The young family settled on a dairy farm near Seymour, Missouri; were Mary was in charge of the milking and she would milk 100 cows a day. After nine years the family relocated on a small farm near Hartsville, Missouri. In 1983, Mary and the children joined Bob in Fairview were she remained until her death.

Mary started college to become an RN but never completed, however she became a nurse's aide and worked at the Fairview Fellowship Home and the Fairview Hospital for many years. Mary was a good hearted hard working woman. She gave care to many people in Fairview and later taking care of her husband Bob and her son Robert Alan. Mary continued to care for her family and friends until her health made it impossible to continue working

Mary was involved in the Fairview Assembly of God church and became a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, after Bob's death, were she helped with many bake sales.

Mary was a loving mother, wife and friend to many and will be missed by all who knew her.

Mary is survived her three sons, Kurtis Eugene of Enid, Gary Lee of Fairview, and Jackie Wayne of Woodward, sister, Sue Wetherton and brother, Skip Berry along with a host of friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert and one son Robert Alan Hendricks.
